not all that ?friendly? Jim.

They?re actually extremely skittish.
They leap away and under the water 
as soon as they?re aware of your presence;
which is pretty much instantaneous upon arrival to the site.

As with most ?wild life? it really requires a degree of stealth
and patience to get within shooting distance.
