Try downloading and installing LR/Mogrify. It allows for all kinds of 
borders.  You can set a 1 inch border of the color you want, and then have 
the rest of the border set to white.

I'm printing a background color in LR to match my mat color. I only need a
1" border around the print, but I don't see a way to prevent my printer
from coloring the entire sheet. This wastes a lot of ink. Anyone know a
work around?
