Starting with the magnificent Bodleian Library where one can look at a copy of Magna Carta, made within a few years of its initial promulgation in 1215: http://www.greatpix.eu/All/Picture-A-Day/i-VT8n7tD/A And just across the street is the original Blackwells bookshop, founded in 1879 and simply awesome.
