Though it's not cheap, Leica makes a step-down ring that will hold an 82mm
filter. I just bought one and mounted a Lee 82mm WA adapter (that I've had
for over a decade) to use all my 100mm filters with. Screw in 82mm filters
will also work of course.
Just an alternative should you not find your series VII filter.
