Thanks Tina, Luis, George, Jayanand, Christopher, Gerry, Doug, Nathan and 
anyone else who congratulated me in words, spirit or thought!

Douglas, That's really awesome that Lenswork is shown and talked about in 
Camera Clubs in Ireland.   It is a great conversation starter!

For Gerry and others who have not seen it, I think Lenswork is one of the 
finest photography publications available.  Over the years I have subscribed 
to a lot of different things and this is the only photography magazine I 
still subscribe to.  The reproduction quality is superb.  Every issue is 
simply beautiful.  In fact it is more of a softcover book than a magazine.  
There are no advertisements (outside of lenswork publications) and no 
equipment reviews.  Just portfolios of beautiful images submitted by 
photographers from around the world.  I also have really appreciated the 
interviews with photographers and the thoughts and musings on photography.

There are many of you on the LUG who could and should work on submitting a 
portfolio to Lenswork.   It really is a great exercise in editing as well as 
a goal to work towards.

Lenswork doesn't get the press that other traditional magazines do.  I 
believe that is in part because Lenswork handles the subscriptions directly. 
 So unlike other magazines, there is no money to be made by writers/bloggers 
for pointing people to a subscription page.  It is also not a shock art 
magazine, and definitely leans more towards traditional photography.  
Subject matter has definitely expanded in the last year or so... they even 
have color portfolios now!

Lenswork also does a book called Seeing in Sixes each year.  Incidentally 
Montie Talbert is among the 50 photographers included this year  (out of 
1100 entries).
