The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia occupies an area of 3,170
square metres (34,100 sq ft) and can hold 10,000 people inside.?

So, during my trip to Sofia this week, the cathedral was high on my list of
places to visit, and since it was a short walk from my hotel, I went there
on Thursday afternoon. It is a most impressive church indeed. Five images,
serving as an appetiser for my gallery from Sofia which will appear during
the next few days.

The cathedral from the outside:

The Last Supper:

My late mother was Russian Orthodox, so whenever I visit such temples, I
light a candle in her memory?or rather, two candles, one each for my sister
and me:

And finally, a silent prayer:

More to come from Sofia?much more.

Cheers,
Nathan
