The Elmar 50/2.8 is a very capable lens unless you are working in dark places.? And, you used it quite well. I started out with a IIIa and an LTM Elmar 50/3.5, so I am familiar with this type of shooting.? I did have a clip-on Leica meter, which helped.? Without other gear, you just adjust your position, frame, focus and shoot.
