Alan, the latest version for the X-E2 appears to be Version 4.10, 
released November 21, 2017, which made the camera compatible with the 
XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro lens.? There may be other "undocumented fixes".

My gear was several versions in arrears, so I went on and did the 
updates just to catch up.
