You guys need some rain, w/o lightning. Of course, it is only a matter of time before the valley burns, too. Part of the natural cycle of life in a forest, but with the drought and the pine beetle, it is a one-two punch that will speed up this inevitability. Welcome to the new normal due to climate change.
