I had an XE-1 which became my chief ( only!) camera in a trip to Canada. (
My M9 cover glass fell off). I used M lenses with it.
I used it extensively, and the images it created were more than good.

My ONLY dislike with the Fuji is the APS-C sized sensor. I am a wide angle
shooter. The cropped sensor magnification drove me nuts.... paying a lot of
money for lenses that produced ( on the XE-1) a non- wide angle view was a
no go for me. I sold off the body and went Sony.

But this was a personal preference of the way I see.... not a comment
against Fuji.

( PS: and the Fuji menu system is substantially better.)

Hi Frank,
Food for thought in your message. I played with Henning Wulff?s Sony for a
bit and decided I didn?t want to
learn another complex menu system. Also, I have an inventory of Fuji
equipment so if I go for an IBIS body it will
likely be the Fuji. I wish Doug good luck in finding a buyer for his Sony on
the LUG - keeping it in the family so to speak.
Cheers
Howard

IBIS changes your ability to hand hold.
A magnified focus ability ( I do not use the focus peaking function) gives
the user the ability to focus correctly, even in low light.
Leica glass is superb.... ( this past week I was blown away with the
performance of the 38-70 R lens on my Sony A7rii, but M glass is as
good.....)

The combination is just beyond good.....
Add the Techart M to Sony adapter for AF and Bob's your uncle......

Now you still have a choice.... Sony (FF)? Fuji ( APS-C)?

Doug Herr is selling his modified A7rii, which was setup for using Leica
glass on the Sony body.......hint hint.....
