I agree that 55 is early to retire but I suspect the store is becoming less 
profitable
and the owner wants to go before he starts to lose serious money. I retired 
at 62
which seemed just about right (for me) - 14 years ago.

Nice documentation. Retiring at 55 seems a bit early though?
