Here are some photos from the second half our our trip to SoCal.
Beginning in the redwoods with this shot and then move to the right.

I'll just point out a few.? While in Mt. Lassen NP, we were treated to a
faint milky way and a crescent moon.

I then turned north towards the big dipper to try a few shots and I was
surprised to see when I chimped one of the photos that the Northern
Lights were visible. Could not see them with the naked eye. This was
days before the big display the other day, which I cannot see from the
heart of the Los Angeles basin.? If you look at this one large you can
see the Big Dipper low on the horizon with the Northern Lights and the
Milky Way.

Then there is a whole series of shots from Mono Lake.? My father-in-law
and I have shot the lake many times in our travel and every time have
been disappointed as any potential clouds have always either disappeared
by sunset or it has clouded over too much with no light.? Well, solo
this trip, I finally hit it at the right time.? They start here:

The rest are some fall color above Bishop, CA.? Best I have seen it but
could not stay any longer than the few hours we were there.? Darn.

Comments welcome.
