I don't care, as long as I can run GNU Emacs, have command-line compile, and
don't have to use a damn GUI wrapper to write simple little test programs in
Python, and Java.  But I also want/need full hardware-accelerated OpenGL
support, industrial strength C++, and 3D modelling tools.  Perhaps I should
take a look at OS X.  We have a beta copy floating around the office and
I've got a couple of gigs to spare.

LinuxPPC looked interesting until I realized that a BSc in computer science
and an MSc in human-centred computer systems wasn't enough to make sense out
of how you install it... and I don't quite have my PhD yet ;)
