The positive advantage of the XA, aside from the ease of selecting f-stops, is the large, brilliant viewfinder, still crystal clear after 10+ years of use. For my type of work that feature is essential. The disadvantage of the XA is the impossibility of using bounce flash, which is the only type of non-existing lighting that I use. I hope some genius listening in at LUG, working in a accessory producing outfit would design a bounce module that would replace the two flash units original to the XA. There must be thousands of XA users who would jump at the chance to buy an integrated bounce flash adapter. I've seen some jerrybuilt adapters, but they leave me cold. The lens quality of the XA is remarkable for its class. I always pack the XA with my M3. Neither has ever disappointed me.
