Whomever has told you that it's as cold here as Minnesota was being a bit disingenuous. We occasionally get some 5 degree days and nights in December but the rest of the winter is usually between 20-30++ degrees during the day. My son, (21) has one of those extra warm winter parkas, aka "pahk-ah" and never uses it, just goes out in a lined leather jacket. I get by pretty well with a pair of thinsulate gloves, a pair of LL Bean type boots when it's wet, and an irish sweater with a light jacket or just a ski jacket. That and a "drop of the creature" and you'll be plenty warm. Some say that alcohol only makes you feel warm(er) but then I ask, "if that's the case, what's the difference." - -- Jim - http://www.hemenway.com > > on 11/21/02 12:33 PM, Phong at phongdoan@mindspring.com wrote: > > > I just realize how woefully ill-prepared I am to deal with the outdoors in the > > wintertime at this latitude (Boston), and would greatly appreciate tips and > > advices on winter clothing, and other photographic matters.
