Specifically, it read that you should use a SLR for this type photo and not a rangefinder with a cloth shutter because the sunlight may burn a hole in the cloth shutter. Is this possible? How likely is it that a M6ttl's shutter is going to be burned by the sun? As always, thanks in advance for any responses.
