Second, as today's NYT-CBS poll demonstrates some 59 percent of Americans believe that the proper course of action at this time is continue with the inspection process - the goal of which has always been to prevent Sadam from waging war and which, quite obviously is working, with a big boost from the current U.S. military buildup. And as to staying home and watching old movies being more productive - it all depends on what one wants to produce. If one wants to produce photographs of a protest movement, then staying home strikes me as a pretty silly thing to do. If one wants to change U.S. policy, then protesting is the only thing one CAN do. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Marc James Small Sent: Friday, February 14, 2003 4:22 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Covering Anti-War protest in Philly At 03:51 PM 2/14/03 -0500, Paul Winkfield wrote: >Set cameras to F8 and be there! ;-) Why? This strikes me as the perfect thing to avoid, an angry group of 5%-ers, not representative of any sort of national will but certainly happy to ruin your day with violence. Why not stay home and watch old movies? It would be a LOT more productive and certainly more comfortable!
