There is a point to me made that buying old stuff might require some knowledge that buying current stuff doesn't. I might want to hear some of that stuff here instead of from KEH. And oil on the aperture blades might be one of those issues that a knowledgeable old stuff buyer can advise a novice. Others would be a scratch on the front or real element. How big a deal is that? That had been a topic if you recall. Well that you can just test and decide for yourself but oil on the blades you don't know if it HAS to be serviced at no small cost NOW or terrible things start happening in the future or what. I did'nt know! I guess when you call KEH they don't immediately ask you for your credit card number? The voice on the phone could give useful advice on aperture blades; how to keep them happy?? Me i'm glad to hear it from Henning. Lets not forget. This vaguely has something to do with photography, Leica photography even. I expected stupid political cracks today. I'm happy for greasy aperture blades from days gone by! Mark Rabiner Portland, Oregon USA http://www.rabinergroup.com - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
