From all of three days experience with this camera, there is no shutter lag time problem, as long as you're in aperture priority (or manual) and focusing manually. It's a lot better than my Canon G5. Manual focus with the EVF is another matter... I'm learning, and think I'll get the hang of it after some practice, but I like the coincidence approach of the M system a lot better! :-) I guess I'm a Luddite when it comes to cameras...
