I'll bring the Leica's, you bring the plane! :-) Well you know what I mean, where does this happen? Although I see Simon posted: >>it can but nobody will take you<<<<< Hi Simon, The first thing that comes to mind would be insurance costs. But what the hell at my age to hell with insurance! :-) Or why wouldn't someone drive it? I know all the guys who could or did are too old! ;-) Here's a crazy flight idea. If we pull it off it could become a Leica gathering for the crew and folks could get a shot or two of the old guy getting aboard with Leica's loaded for action. ;-) Then we could share a pint or two when it's over. Great idea. :-) Now here's the plan, first we don't tell "she who must be obeyed" that's rule number one for sure. And because she's on my case to take some time off and go away for a week or two what better idea than, "Hey dear how be we take a trip over to the UK and visit our relatives?" She'd get excited and we'd go. ;-) Then I could tell her I've had an invitation to see a Spitfire flying and would she like to go? She might say yes. That's OK as she came to the drop zone for the first and only parachute jump but didn't know I was doing a jump until I was in the air. ;-) devil right? ;-) However, she did threaten that if I ever did it again and even if I landed safely, she'd kill me. ;-) Seemed a reasonable threat at the time. But a ride in an aeroplane? ;-) And if not the Spit in the UK, then California for a Mustang! :-) Hey what the heck, getting a dream ride for ones 75 birthday is a cool gift. Although she might kill me after so it better be one hell of a good ride. :-) I mean it worked once why wouldn't it work twice? ;-) Sounds like a great plan.:-) What say you lads and lasses? :-) ted " <pdzwig@summaventures.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Monday, March 01, 2004 3:27 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] for ted grant > > > Ted Grant wrote: > > done on many occasions in the past. > > > > But a Mustang ride???????
