All the ink lights ( 7 ) are flashing along with the "paper out red light." So 8 flashing lights, new ink wells replaced those in the machine in case it was a freak thing and all 7 inks ran out at the same time. Highly un-likely. There's paper in place, shut off printer, all lights go out. Press the on button, machine makes sound as though starting up..... then all the lights begin flashing and nothing happens. :-( At the moment it's in a service shop where they service and repair many electronic products including Epson printers of many models. However, senior service manager says they can't find any reason why it's flashing. They've pulled the machine apart, nothing jammed anywhere and all connections appear to connect OK. So? Epson have been as helpful on the phone as a rattle snake in a hen house! :-( Everytime the service technician calls Epson they wont give him any information unless he gives them a credit card number and charge it $9.95. So far 5 attempts at getting sound help and assistance. NADA! They ask the same 4 basic questions each time, then say, " send it in!" Nor will they pass him onto any other person. The tech says, "This is one of their products and it's not a $1.98 machine and you'd think they'd bend over backwards to assist a professional photographer get back in production." Nope! So now it's a trip to Vancouver to a similar company only under the guise of being an "official" Epson dealer? Hopefully they'll know what it is........ However, before we leave the Island for the mainland there will be a phone call so they can assure me they know exactly what it is and or they do know without any fancy dancy words without calling Epson. Also that they can fix it when I arrive and get it back the same day. Now good folks have any 2200 or 2100 owners come across this kind of situation? And if so, what happened to get it back into operation? Thank you. Our machine is 2 years old but a couple of days, so it isn't covered under warranty, I don't care I prefer to have it working, warranty or no warranty. ted
