I say that because there were beehives surrounding the field and MANY bees. I had the 560mm with me, a good thing since shooting with the M6 and a 50mm or 35mm was contra-indicated because of aforesaid bees! Anyway, I wanted to explore what I could do with depth of field. After looking at the results I can't quite figure out if I was thinking in color or black and white because when I first saw the field I was definately thinking of exploring what TMAX 100 would do. But what I had in the R8 was a brand new roll of E100VS. Here's a cropped version of the color image: <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-05-Valley/E100VS-02-W.Yolo-crp-crv-shrp- sqr.jpg> Here is the larger frame which I've made using the channel mixer, about 70% of the green channel and a little bit of red and blue to make up the difference: <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-05-Valley/E100VS-02-W.Yolo-crp-crv-shrp- mono.jpg> I like the cropped version in color but I find the black and white version more pleasing. Comments and thoughts please. Adam
