She must be in a successful commercial dance company for them to be so strict about photography. Where photography has been allowed, I have used a Leica, but not my M6, but my Digilux 1. It has a reasonably fast lens (f 2.0-3.3), is quieter than my Canon 20D, and has a fast burst mode with the medium jpeg. Since it tends to overexpose anyway, iso 200 comes out to about iso 250-320, so I don't have to use the noisy iso 400. It's quieter than an M6. ---------------------------------------------------- This mailbox protected from junk email by MailFrontier Desktop from MailFrontier, Inc. http://info.mailfrontier.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "GREG LORENZO" <gregj.lorenzo@shaw.ca> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2006 1:20 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] Ballet Tryout Submission Photos > Michael Volow writes in part: > >> First, they are lovely, well composed, sensitive photos with beautiful >> tonality (and a lovely subject). >> >> Am I correct in assuming that these are primarily full-length portraits >> posed in front of a seamless backdrop (no floor/wall horizon)? >> I'm sure you have also taken shots of her dancing as well; and if so we >> might >> enjoy to see some of these. >> > > Michael, > > They were all shot in studio almost four years ago for Victoria's > pre-interview/tryout for ballet school.
