[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Well, actually, if I seriously needed photos of a particular place, and I was aware of the way people are being hassled, I might well use a 4x5 on a tripod with a darkcloth, wearing a Tilly hat, Mephisto shoes, and a Domke photo vest, with a Parker 51 in one pocket , a fifth of single malt in another other, with a Leica IIIf hanging around my neck - because who would think that a 'bad guy' would be so obvious? Of course I might well have a digital camera of some sort inside the 4x5...:-) Seriously, the whole thing is idiotic - if someone wants these sorts of images, they're going to get them. Period. I'd like to see a fraction of the time and attention being wasted on making sure that none of us take photos of some run down courthouse in East Buttbleep, or the Port Authority Bus Terminal applied to securing chemical plants and ports. Until that's done, we're screwed - pure and simple. Back to working on my new website.
