May be true in the PJ world or canon and nikon - certainly not true  
in the pro worlds of fashion, portraiture, and commercial photography  
where the digital backs start at around $15k and move up to $30K at  
the top end. I doubt that many "serious amateurs" are buying in at  
those price points. I also doubt that the "sa" are buying the top end  
canons at $8k +
