Rob,
I think it depends on your level of competency and the time available.  
If I had to do it again I would have waited awhile. When I upgraded my  
G4 Powerbook it loaded the program but gave me the spinning wheel of  
death when I wanted to access any functions. I took it to the local  
Apple dealer and he said, motioning to the stack of laptops behind him  
with the same problem, that it would be days before he could get to  
mine. And, of course, I am still having issues with my I Mac getting  
it to play nice with my newish Epson Stylus Photo 1390. There are  
costs to being an early adopter.
