I had hoped Leica would address the issue of reflection on the sensor. All the other manufacturers, that is those that count, have had to create 'ghostless' coatings. It appears that these Summarits are a response to that. I also wonder what the effect will be on BW film manufacturing in response to these new coating practices. S. He notes lower contrast, resolution, sharpness, flare resistance, correction etc on many occasions while still acknowledging their historical position. I might even give up my Elmar-M for it. S. On Nov 19, 2007, at 3:43 PM, slobodan dimitrov wrote: It can certainly be a truism that Erwin has yet to meet a Leica lens he didn't like. S. We have to wonder what Erwin gets from Leica for writing these lens tests and reviews... hence, I'm not too sure he can be an objective and independent testing service... but it's fun to read the stuff, fwiw...
