I bought it for my wife in the hopes that it would be fast and easy to use. She hated the Panasonic FX07 that I had, which I liked very much. The P5000 on the other hand, is clunky in response and awkward to set for the non-photographically inclined. I bought it with the extra flash for faster response. It gave me a little bit of speed, but not enough for my kind of shooting. Slobodan Dimitrov On Dec 5, 2007, at 2:17 PM, Afterswift@aol.com wrote: The Canon G9 got a lukewarm review from Steve's. I wouldn't get near it. A much better camera in the prosumer class is the Nikon 5000. Oly discontinued this class of digitals, although the 5050 still retains a good reputation. I've been using one for about 4 years and getting excellent images. The 5050 is the only integrated digital that has an f1.8 lens. It runs down to f2.6 at longer zooms.
