Then 2) we have two different accounts by a person who was not there and says thet it was staged - and some insist that we should believe the person who was not there. I would suppose that if it really was staged, then someone who was there would have come out because the photograph is so famous. Actually there is a 3rd possibility that Whelan suggest - the men did indeed play for Capa?s camera and it went terribly wrong as the enemy began shooting at them. The fact that there are two different photos is not uncommon, many photographers do take several pictures at a same location. And the locations in the two photos are not exactly the same.
