I couldn't pick much up anymore when I heard about the discontinuance. I know, I know, I should have guessed it would go, but I procrastinated. I've found it to be good for about 5 or so years in the freezer; it's susceptible to cosmic rays same as other high speed film is. After that the fog levels get too high. HIE still has a lot different look than digital IR. My IR Canon Rebel is nice, and it's easy, and it delivers sharp pictures out to 900nm, but it's certainly not HIE. It's hard to get that glow that HIE gets from the lack of anti-halation backing. Regards, Henning -- * Henning J.
