Vick,

The 35 in my opinion does not need the coding.  My 35 Summilux looks just 
fine without it, in fact it cannot be coded.  Most think the 28 and wider 
need the coding, but try it first and see what you think.  If you shoot B&W, 
then forget the filters all together.  You should be able to register and 
order the filters on Leica's website.  Sill you need to send in the 
registration to NJ.  Howard is right though get the 2 free ones from leica 
in the larger sizes that you need, and just buy the 39's from dealers.  Glad 
that you are enjoying the M8 already.
