It was during this last film that Paul Mantz was killed during the filming of the final scene. The photos were taken in 1981 (M4/35mm 'cron/HS Ektachrome). The museum closed its doors a few years later. The author of the article, Scott Thompson, has a wonderful website for those interested in WW2 aviation, with an expanded area on the Tallmantz Collection.
