I've been published!<<< Congratulations Ira being published! It doesn't matter whether it's first or lots, but being published is always a good tummy feeling. :-) Simply because as simple as this may sound, "hey there's my pictures out there in the world for all to see!" Is truly a wonderful gut feeling when you look at them no matter where there published. Here's wishing you many many more. ted In the February issue of FlyPast, a British aviation magazine, an article on the Tallmantz Movieland of the Air Museum used two of my photos, with credits! _http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Ira+Silverman/Aircraft/CW+CW-1+Junior.jpg. ht ml_ (http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Ira+Silverman/Aircraft/CW+CW-1+Junior.jpg. html) _http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Ira+Silverman/Aircraft/Stinson+L-1A.jpg.ht ml _ (http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Ira+Silverman/Aircraft/Stinson+L-1A.jpg.ht ml) Not great art, but important in documenting an aircraft collection significant for both its historical value, and the use of the aircraft in many Hollywood films, among them Catch 22, The Great Waldo Pepper, and my personal favorite, The Flight of the Phoenix (the original with Jimmy Stewart). It was during this last film that Paul Mantz was killed during the filming of the final scene. The photos were taken in 1981 (M4/35mm 'cron/HS Ektachrome). The museum closed its doors a few years later. The author of the article, Scott Thompson, has a wonderful website for those interested in WW2 aviation, with an expanded area on the Tallmantz Collection.
