Not long ago, a Nikon technician revealed on Nikon's Japanese website that D1 didn't have a 2.7MP sensor, but a 10.8MP sensor. It combined data from multiple pixels to obtain data for a single pixel and stored as a 2.7MPimage. And that's the reason why D1 seemed to have better image clarity than its pixel count otherwise suggested. Ken On 2/28/08, Frank Filippone <red735i@earthlink.net> wrote: > > Wanna borrow my D1?
