Further, I would posit that these merged-mega-banks and merged-mega-corps reach a scale which cannot "be" lead or managed effectively or efficiently. Much of this disaster's cause rests in the fact that far too much (whether good or bad assets) ends up in the hands far too few. And those few do not, perhaps cannot, have the ability to manage at that scale. Wouldn't we be a lot safer (economically speaking) if many smaller entities controlled much smaller sets of assets?
