Well, RAID arrays are OK as long as you don't put it on top of  
shake&bake device known as a big rocket and shoot it into space where  
the radiation environment is rather hostile. You would also need to  
add extra fans to cool the disks because convection cooling just  
doesn't work without gravity. :)
