Has anyone used any of these? if so, which brand?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a 1.25x magnifier for years.  
The eyes just aren't getting any younger. A Leica brand magnifier is  
out of my price range for the foreseeable future. (FOOD is out of my  
price range for the foreseeable future since I bought the M8.) Is an  
off brand even worth bothering with?
