perhaps -

yet - view camera photography, in general, requires a contemplative  
nature
depends on setting up with knowledge or anticipation of future events  
and light to come.
then waiting, with your thumb on the cable release, to see if your  
expectations prove correct.

Further, designing extraordinary lens and lighting configurations,
tilts, shifts, ways of positioning mirrors etc. all things I have  
experienced in view camera work.

I've spent far more time with the above than I have
in Doug H's mode of long lenses on small cameras.

Though I've done some little bit of that as well - I feel like I'd be  
projecting far more to imagine Doug's working state.
