Any initial looseness is easily corrected by slightly widening the slits in the bayonet lugs of the adapter with a flat-bladed jeweller's screwdriver (I have read that this is also the cure for loose Cameraquest adapters - IIRR the trick came from David Young over on the LRFLEX list.). I have however noticed tolerance problems with their CY adapters (some lock correctly, some don't), though I'm not quite sure whether the lens mount was at fault - one Zeiss lens refuses to lock even with a high-quality (and expensive) adapter from Huppert in Germany (rumour has it that it's actually made by Zeiss, Novoflex or Leica - for what that's worth :-) ). (I also have their CY to Leica-M, Leica-R to Leica-M, PK to EOS, Adaptall-2 to EOS and a Canon to Canon with a correction lens that works ok too.) They also do a simple ring adapter that converts M39 to M42 - really useful when attaching M-lenses to a bellows with an SLR lens mount The only really poorly constructed adapters I've had from them were for Rollei QBM to EOS. I think I must be an adapter addict - I also use a Topcon/Exakta - EOS adapter and an excellent QBM to EOS (now discontinued) from Kindai I've had no problems whatsoever with the company - they are even based here in Hannover where I am, so I can go round and beat on their door if anything goes wrong :-) Cheers Douglas Wayne Serrano wrote: > Well then I should have stated that I am looking for adapters that are > chipped as well.
