The competition won't be the S2, Hasselblad, other medium back etc., but a) the old DMR, and b) no digital R solution I am not saying this is what Leica will do or should do and Leica has surprised us before, but I just don't get the vibes that Leica wants an innovative best in the class solution. And remember, our own pundit, who seems to be the impetus that started you on making this R user list in the first place, also predicted ISO12800 for M10 in 2 years :-) Ask him how they are going to do that if they want to stay with the Kodak CCD :-) On Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 8:04 AM, George Lottermoser <imagist3 at mac.com>wrote: > but "everyone else" has not. > > Leica M9 and S2 > Hasselbad > PhaseOne > Leaf > etc > have not > > and there are reasons for not > that can be seen in the image files > > Regards, > George Lottermoser > george at imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com/blog > http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist > > > > > > On Sep 9, 2010, at 10:37 PM, Richard Man wrote: > > > Well, since "everyone" else has gone to CMOS > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > -- // richard <http://www.imagecraft.com/> // icc blog: <http://imagecraft.wordpress.com> // photo blog: <http://www.5pmlight.com> [ For technical support on ImageCraft products, please include all previous replies in your msgs. ]
