The PM5 is a prism that you look into from a 45 degree angle, so you look slightly down into it, unlike a 35mm SLR where you look straight into the back of the camera. I have the older NC4 which is similar to the PM5. It works great and lets you shoot at basically eye-level, which is good for portraits since you are no longer looking up at the subject like you do with a waist-level. -- Chris Crawford Fine Art Photography Fort Wayne, Indiana 260-486-2581 http://www.chriscrawfordphoto.com My portfolio http://blog.chriscrawfordphoto.com My latest work! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christopher-Crawford/48229272798 Become a fan on Facebook On 1/9/11 12:32 AM, "Richard Man" <richard at imagecraft.com> wrote: > How come a used 553ELX is about 40% of the price of a used 503CW?
