By quick I mean a few hundred to a thousand years. We don't know how such changes will affect humans exactly but there will be a sizable body count. Given the length of the changes we will at least have plenty of time shift populations, agriculture, water supplies, energy resources, etc., and to bury the dead. What we do have unequivocal proof about is that the dead will be the poorest among us. A win win for capitol interests. It is easy to be distracted by the things we can't ever know and a mistake to use that as an argument for not doing anything. Sort of like saying I have no idea how this camera works, or how film manages to capture an image, so I guess I can't take a photograph. Actually it is only through action that we learn how things work, rarely through propaganda.
