I know the guys at Lacklands in Auckland (NZ distributors), pleasant but not
"all knowing". I sent the info of these tests off to them today but heard
nothing back as yet....

I sent my M9 (dropped it last year, rangefinder calibration out) and all
lenses to Solms in Jan, several of them for 6-bitting and all for setting up
with my M9, got them back about a month ago. I tested them at infinity
(Noctilux had been unable to focus that far before!) and all were good.

The used prices for the 75mm are close to what I would pay for a new one
(dealer discount, reclaim GST) so holding off for that thanks ;-) There was
one being sold in Auckland a couple of weeks back (4000NZD)
but I turned it down. The Aus one is 3300AUD, so 4160NZD. Add the 15% GST
here and it goes to 4830NZD and I ordered mine when it was 4700NZD inc GST
(reclaimable)!

You had the lens adjusted already at Solms?????
I would certainly contact them then and explain exactly what you have
happening. You know the guy to talk with for ANZ customers?
Get me off list if I didn't already pass that to you.
I would expect that wide open it should be spot on (for sure within DoF) in
close if camera and everything else is correct.
PS there's an APO Summicron 75 on eBay here currently. I'm just sayin'

Cheers,
Geoff
