A friend of mine, who is at present in Corbett National Park, which is to the north of Delhi, has already seen 168 different species of birds (and two tigers!) in 10 days or so. Luckily, Ranthambhore has quite a few large water bodies and lakes, so birds are abundant: Red-wattled Lapwing: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore_20120406_1098.jpg.html Little Cormorant: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore_20120405_0819.jpg.html Oriental Honey Buzzard: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore_20120401_0099.jpg.html Spotted Owlet: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore_20120405_0893.jpg.html Oriental White Ibis: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore_20120405_0840.jpg.html Little Grebe: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore_20120405_0857.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments and criticism, as ever, welcome.
