A friend of mine, who is at present in Corbett National Park, which is to the north of Delhi, has already seen 168 different species of birds (and two tigers!) in 10 days or so. Luckily, Ranthambhore has quite a few large water bodies and lakes, so birds are abundant: Red-wattled Lapwing: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120406_1098.jpg.html Little Cormorant: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120405_0819.jpg.html Oriental Honey Buzzard: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120401_0099.jpg.html Spotted Owlet: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120405_0893.jpg.html Oriental White Ibis: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120405_0840.jpg.html Little Grebe: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120405_0857.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments and criticism, as ever, welcome.
