And to that point, $8k buys 400 rolls of 120 film plus development, printing 
and scanning at A&I - pretty much a lifetime's shooting for non-pros  (in 
645, that is 6400 pictures). You don't get ISO 10k out of film, but a 6x9 
negative on TMX is what, 96 uninterpolated MP when scanned on a tri linear 
CCD?
