When I switched to Canon, before Leica went digital, I bought several of the Canon L lenses, supposedly top of the line. I was so disappointed! Canon wides are absolutely awful. My 24L fell apart twice and had to be repaired. The second time it was out of warranty so I glued pieces back together. The fringing and CA on the edges of the wides is unbelievable. That's one reason I've gone all the way with Leica and never looked back. I have used Leica lenses on the Canon bodies with adapters but since I got the DMR, I never do that anymore! The CCD sensor is just plain better! Tina >> 3200 > >>> or even 1600, it will be well worth the price to me. I'm looking > forward > >>> to more dynamic range and lots of fine detail at higher ISOs.
