Later Fars became independent for a time, then fell under Parthian rule. An interesting technical detail is that the coin was struck over one of Demetrios Poliorketes (taker of cities). On the obverse one can see the remnants of Demetrios's diadem and on the reverse the ????? from ????????? on the lower left and ? from ???????? on on the upper right. The coin was struck in what is now Iran, by a Seleukid governor, and over a Macedonian coin. Any kinda comment welcome! John
