I've seen numerous versions of Moonrise, including the one with two moons, courtesy of his assistants. Every time you save a jpg you lose information. Also software improves but without your raw file you cant take advantage of that improvement. Ansel worked on prints from the Moon Over Hernandez negative for decades. No two prints are exactly alike. He couldn't do that saving jpgs only. Cards/memory is cheap. You can save both simultaneously with just some loss on write time. Why not save the raw too since there is a lot you stand to loose?
