Morning Doug,
As I sit here with my second morning coffee waiting for the hummers to
appear on my deck for the morning feed,
I want to tell you that I am in awe of your ability to catch these little
creatures in the air.
The clarity of the images is as good as it gets, I think, and a tribute to
your skill with the Leica lenses.
You set the standard to aspire to Mr. Birdman!
Howard
PS what shutter speed, aperture? ISO? the 280 without the extender - right?

compare with the adult male:

both photos: R8/DMR, 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R, tripod, folding camp chair. All
